SIDE DOORS
CHEREAU offers you an entire range of solutions for ergonomic side doors (single, double or sliding doors) with an access ladder, a retractable step or a folding step. A strap completes this system, enabling the driver to access the vehicle in complete safety. With a simple, lockable closing mechanism, operation is easy and secure.
REVERSING CAMERA
Rear-vision conditions are often restricted for distribution vehicles. Straightforward rear view mirrors are not always enough to guarantee safe manoeuvring. The wide angle reversing camera covers an area of vision guaranteeing both a risk-free approach to docks and monitoring of the area behind the vehicle (theft, damage, etc.). This camera is extremely effective, even in low light conditions (at night, in tunnels, in loading compartments). The screen that displays the images on the dashboard is large, making images easy to see. A 360° vision solution is also available thanks to 4 cameras on the sides. Known as BirdView, this solution provides an "aerial" view of the vehicle in its surroundings.
INOGAM BODY
A refrigerated body must be both powerful and robust. CHEREAU bodies benefit from a design that combines excellent insulation with specific assemblies, offering the highest performance level on the market and strength that has become the industry benchmark. For transporting fish, CHEREAU produces bodies with super-insulated thick side walls with an internal width of 2,470 mm, the internal height of which is maximised, which enables them to remain within the overall height limit of four metres.
SMARTOPEN-C
This is CHEREAU’s brand new patented electric rear opening system, with pulsed opening in less than 10 seconds. It allows the body to be closed after each pallet, parcel or dolly, thereby protecting the goods carried and allowing for longer rounds, even during heatwaves. Its original opening, above the bodywork, allows for the installation of all the interior fittings that are essential for modern urban deliveries: partitions for multi-compartments, rear evaporators, AirShutter-C air curtain. The SmartOpen-C is reliable, benefits from excellent insulation, requires little maintenance and complies with the Piek label for night deliveries. It has a load capacity of 33 pallets on the floor.
AIRSHUTTER-C
One of the key issues of distribution is hot air entering the inside of the vehicle each time the door is opened. So, when you have multiple customers requiring deliveries on the same round, maintaining the set temperature is sometimes difficult. The use of an AirShutter-C smart air curtain enables transfers between internal and external air to be limited. AirShutter-C analyses the difference between the inside and outside temperature and automatically starts if necessary. It helps to extend rounds for the same vehicle.
TAIL-LIFT
CHEREAU produces a wide range of lifting or retractable tailgates, and a range of selected accessories from those produced by three main partners: Dhollandia, Zepro and Bär. The incorporation of other models is also possible via the Customisation Department. The modular design of the rear of the chassis makes it easy to swap from a tailgate configuration to an underride bar configuration.
INOGAM DOOR LOCK
INOGAM bodies with hinged doors can be fitted with an integrated CHEREAU anti-theft system. Based on a "drawer" type padlock, it is inaccessible to tools generally used to break in to trucks (bolt cutters, grinders, crowbars, etc.). It is also protected against impacts and spray.
CITYLIGHT
Distribution exposes the vehicle and the driver to risks during stops, especially as these are not always made in dedicated locations. Lights alert users that a delivery is underway, thereby helping to protect the driver. CityLight include four essential functions to properly signal the delivery area and avoid any cause of accidents : a high-level repeat of the indicators and hazard lights, a very safe dynamic flash signalling, a high-performance work light.
BUMPER-C
The Bumper-C, patented by CHEREAU, is the "ultimate weapon" for protecting the rear of your vehicle when backing up to docks. With an innovative design, it absorbs the energy of an impact and acts as a shock absorber. The Bumper-C allows lifting and lowering manoeuvres to be carried out by the vehicle at a dock without any risk of shearing or distortion. The Bumper-C is acclaimed by carriers, who manage considerable savings on maintenance and repairs to the rear frames of their vehicles. It is fitted on more than 90% of CHEREAU's chassis.
QUIETCITY
Consumers demand fresh produce every day and the logistics chain must be able to fulfil this expectation. However, delivering to town and city centres during the day is increasingly difficult (traffic congestion, parking, pollution, etc.). Delivering at night, outside rush hours, is a good solution, provided this does not disturb residents. Consequently, CHEREAU has developed QuietCity, a range of quiet vehicles (less than 60 dBa for the PieK standard, which is equivalent to a conversation) to meet this need.
EASY-C
For distribution, the equipment's versatility is a definite plus. The ATP sets temperatures for each food group (+6° C for meat, +6° C for dairy products, -18°C for frozen foods, -20° C for ice-cream, etc.), so adapting to multi-temperature transport is becoming a necessity, which translates into the partitioning of loads in semi-trailers. The Easy-C partition is easy to handle and has a safety system that prevents it from moving at all, even when it is not attached to the roof.
MULTIDECK-C 2.0
CHEREAU has developed MultiDeck-C 2.0., a multi-level, multi-temperature and multi-format system providing maximum flexibility.

Captive beams, which are always available inside a network of rails, the system is always operational.

Beam distributors at the rear, on the roof, with an easy lowering and raising system, using handling poles. Handling the partition is facilitated.

Load capacity of up to 65 pallets (32 on the lower level and 33 on the upper level), with added conventional rear beam.

All pallet formats can be mixed.
When using a single-temperature configuration, we recommend the use of an ATD II System.
ATD II SYSTEM
The ATD II System is particularly suited to transporting 800x120 pallets at a single temperature and enables the load level to be maximised. The system allows a double-level to be installed inside the body, thereby doubling the load capacity. This allows carriers to reduce the number of journeys, as they can transport double the quantity of goods in one go, whilst complying with regulations and ventilation rules in complete safety.
We recommend the use of MultiDeck-C 2.0. with a double-level for multi-temperature configurations.
REARDETECT-C
The RearDetect-C reversing radar is the perfect solution for backing up to docks in complete safety. This system detects obstacles, provides an audible warning during a manoeuvre and automatically stops the vehicle. Thanks to its 3 sensors, the radar detects an obstacle within 3 metres of the rear of the vehicle. When the obstacle is located at a specific distance (preset between 30 and 100 cm), the system automatically applies the vehicle's brakes until it comes to a standstill, without any action on the part of the driver.
LEVIAND
Unloading a carcass from a vehicle is a difficult, or even dangerous, operation when it is carried out using a step ladder. LEVIAND is an on-board hydraulic gantry with a capacity of 600 - 1200 Kg. Made entirely from stainless steel, it is connected to the semi-trailer's hanging system network with multiple outlets. In compliance with the (EC) machinery directive, this safety equipment is recognised by CARSAT organisations, which may help co-finance its acquisition.
